Agreement for Drum Lessons • Revised January, 2010
Tuition for lessons is $100
per month
Payment is due on the first scheduled
lesson of the month. If you begin lessons in the middle of
the month the charge is $25.00 per lesson. The student or
parent will pay for their own textbooks and learning materials that are
required (and supplied) by the
instructor.
All students must log a minimum of three hours per week of practice time. Students who are consistently unable to meet this requirement will not be able to continue with their lessons.
There are four half-hour lessons each month, scheduled on the same day at the same time. If it is a five-week month we’ll take the fifth week off. Students who haven’t paid by the second lesson of the month will not receive instruction and may lose their time slot.
You will not be charged for lessons canceled by the instructor
If you are absent you will be charged for the lesson
The
instructor pays for the use of the rehearsal studio regardless of
cancellations and no-shows. Two consecutive absences may result in the
forfeiture of your time slot.
Make-up lessons due to illness
If you or your child has a
serious illness you must contact John prior to 2:00 p.m. that day to be
eligible for a make-up lesson. Call 253-273-3716 to do so. Make-ups are
limited to open slots in John's schedule. They are available on a
first-come, first served basis.
Holidays in which lessons are not held are as follows:
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the
following day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. If your
lesson falls on one of these holidays and you will not receive four
lessons that month as a result, you will be credited $25.00.
Vacations
Throughout the calendar year a
customer can request up to four
credited vacation days away from drum
lessons. Requests can be made by email, phone or in person and
they must be at
least two weeks prior to the date(s) you'll be absent in order to
receive credit. Vacations of more than two consecutive weeks require a
$50 deposit good towards the first two lessons upon your return.
Timeslots cannot be guaranteed for vacations lasting more than two
weeks.
Termination
Two weeks notice must be given when
terminating lessons or you will be charged. If a student is under 18
years of age, termination notice must be given by a parent or guardian.
Lessons may be terminated by the instructor or parent/guardian for any
reason.
